The Scene
This huge diner is popular with local workers and cops, but also gets its share of late-night carousers as one of the few 24-hour spots in the area. The atmosphere is odl and a bit sleepy, with usually one of the TVs tuned to local news or talk shows. Settle into one of the many booths, enjoy a cup of coffee and start analyzing the lengthy menu.
The Food
The food is reliable and served in huge portions, with friendly service always part of the deal. Don't miss Sophie's omelet--packed with feta cheese, tomatoes and onions. Lunch and dinner head into dozens of salads, burgers and sandwiches. The larger dinner plates are gut-busters, with even the ''a la carte'' versions coming with soup or salad, potatoes and a roll--or belly up for the deluxe, which includes soup and salad, dessert and coffee.
