The Scene
Making a bold statement with cabaret colors, this gay-friendly burger bar lives up to its reputation of kitschy, casual dining. Posters are hung sideways, and receipts are returned to customers in sassy stilettos. Large booths hug the front windows, while a mix of circular tables fill in the space between the entrance and the back bar. RuPaul videos share TV time with Brandy and Lindsay Lohan. Service is friendly, efficient and timely.

The Food
Appetizers, burgers and cold and hot sandwiches may bear flashy monikers like ''Buffy (The Hamburger Slayer),'' and ''Her Hot Legs,'' and dishes don't stray too far from the predictable. Worthy starters include golden brown chicken tenders and stuffed olives and jalapeno poppers served in a martini glass. Teriyaki flavoring and pineapple sweeten the half-pound Big Kahuna Burger; crispy bacon, grilled onions, cheddar and jack cheeses are sinful, welcome additions to the Queen Mary patty.
