The Scene
This tiny breakfast-and-lunch-only nook is a charming local institution, filling with young parents and professionals from the well-scrubbed neighborhood. The narrow space fills quickly; on weekends, you may wait an hour or more, but it's worth it.
The Food
Breakfast and lunch items get a trendy tweak here, from eggs benedict with prosciutto and truffle hollandaise with potato wild mushroom hash to chicken mango chutney salad and steak and gorgonzola sandwich. Dining in the a.m.? You gotta do the stuffed French toast. Brimming with strawberries, these tall, crispy, creamy strips are light-as-air and delicious, even without maple syrup. Other plates worth trying include a fat, surprisingly spicy breakfast burrito (must be the jalapenos) and luscious Nutella crepes with crushed pecans.
