The Scene
Home baker Cindy Levine dreamt up a place where you could go for nothing but sweets--baked goods, refrigerated goods, and more--and here it is. Done up in cornflower blue and soft yellow, it's a light, whimsical room with a cheerful staff and plenty of seating at tables and booths, plus a full soda fountain. Dessert counters display the store's delectable wares, and a chalkboard lists daily specials.
The Food
Fresh-made treats include s'mores, frosting-smeared cupcakes and banana pudding with Nilla wafers. Have a whoopie pie, two chocolate cookies sandwiching thick vanilla frosting. Brownies are boss, too, with delicious varieties like rocky road, peanut better and (the most popular) plain chocolate. Intelligentsia coffees are available if you want a caffeine buzz to go along with your sugar rush.
