This comforting Logan Square restaurant exudes modern lodge appeal thanks to an antler chandelier, rough wood details and a plant-plentiful, glassed-in atrium. The menu, which is all about turning American standards on end, includes cavatappi mac and cheese with Wisconsin smoked Gouda as well as roasted tomato and fennel soup with grilled sharp cheddar cheese sticks. Other crowd-pleasers include Boursin-stuffed, caramelized onion slathered meatloaf, buttermilk mashed potatoes and braised Brussels sprouts with bacon and onions.
