The Scene
McGee's delivers sports on four big screens and more than 25 TVs in three rooms. There's also a TV-less covered porch, which becomes an open-air beer garden come summer.
The Draw
Brunch starts at 11am on weekends, and DePaul students and neighborhood post-college coeds choose from skillets chock-full of potatoes, eggs, ham and other savory options: four-egg omelettes, including the ''killer'' omelette with skirt steak, cheese and hollandaise sauce, fancy egg creations, traditional French toast, oatmeal, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and more. There are also two alternative hangover remedies: the bloody mary bar and the all-you-can-drink coffee bar, with flavors to suit anyone's taste. Although the coffee bar is a clever idea, it's still nice to have a server warm you up on cue. The rest of the menu offers appetizers, burgers, salads and sandwiches--including what could be Chicago's finest tuna melt.
