The Scene
Speakers pulse '70s disco and techno tunes while a disco ball bounces colors off the dining room giving the restaurant a club-like feel. Diners--dressed from ultra-casual to fashion-conscious--sit at banquette tables along one wall, or at closely spaced tables in the center, taking in the action in the open kitchen or viewing gangster movies on flat-screen TVs. For couples seeking a more private experience, a disco ball-less dining room is to the left of the entrance.
The Food
The contemporary Italian menu changes daily, with pasta and seafood dishes prevailing. Entrees like linguine Vongole in a white wine sauce with baby clams and a sprinkling of chili flakes, are perfectly portioned for lighter appetites. Spicy pork chops get a kick from chili peppers and lemon--a la carte sides like baked tomatoes, escarole with beans or broccolini help temper the heat. Picture-perfect tiramisu is airy, creamy and lightly soaked with coffee liqueur.
