The Scene
Powder-blue walls and crisp white linens offset by dark wood floors and sleek mahogany-stained chairs lend a clean, contemporary vibe to this upscale setting. A wraparound bar anchors the L-shaped room furnished with comfortably spaced tables; banquette seating lines the perimeter. Attentive servers cater to dressed-to-impress ladies-night groups, families and couples chatting over the jazzy music.

The Food
Contemporary twists on Southern favorites star in this new American menu. Appetizers include grilled chicken ''lollipops'' drizzled with pesto aioli, and plump crab cakes with tangy remoulade. Melt-in-your-mouth braised shortrib in smoky chipotle barbecue sauce is a favorite entree, as is the raisin and walnut-stuffed chicken breast with creamy gorgonzola sauce. Another winner, bayou catfish stuffed with creole-spiced crab meat is tender and flavorful, but similar in flavor to the crab cakes: One or the other may be in order for variety. Decadent desserts like the triple chocolate cake offer a sweet, satisfying finish.
