In Short
This simple, white-clothed Chinatown spot comes from chef-owner Tony Hu, who is best known for foodie fave Lao Sze Chuan. Light from red lanterns illuminates a menu of Beijing classics like tea-smoked or Peking duck, mapo bean curd, dry chili chicken and Qingcheng-style preserved pork belly. Other finds include cumin-rubbed lamb skewers and cucumber salad that's dotted with chilis and peanuts.
