In Short
It doesn't get more old-school than this place, from the bouffant-haired hostess to the floral-print booths and light wood accents. A mixed crowd of aging blue collars and yuppies with kids fill the three spacious rooms and chow on reliable American grub--skillets, omelets and flapjacks; sandwiches, burgers and salads; steaks, pasta and seafood. Omelets are filling, and corned beef hash is good and greasy, with flecks of onion and diced potato. The coffee's strong, the O.J. fresh-squeezed.
