In Short
This shotgun storefront enjoys a plum location next to the Steppenwolf Theatre and Clybourn shopping district--sans the traffic. This is the locals' pizzeria, quiet and unassuming, firing up crispy, hand-tossed pies. Exposed brick, high ceilings and wooden tables evoke classic Chicago charm, an ideal setting for an informal pre-show meal or post-shopping sustenance. Appetizers don't stray from staples like bruschetta, fried calamari and arancini, a breaded, cheese-filled rice ball fried to a golden brown. Pizzas--thin crust, deep dish, Roman crust or New York style--come topped with your choice of traditional meat and veggie ingredients.
