The Scene
The flashing yellow and purple sign outside may read ''wine and dine,'' but the bar is definitely more hipster hangout than dining destination. Lava lamps bubble and soft blue banquettes beckon in the stylish, low-lit space; 20-somethings chill at the bar or play foosball or Golden Tee; couples get cozy in intimate booths towards the back.
The Draw
Again, despite the above-mentioned sign, don't be fooled--the food menu's mostly typical bar bites, and the wine list is a mere five reds and five whites by the glass. Skip the so-so starters (wings, spinach dip), though, and you'll find tasty stuff like baked grinders and surprisingly good thin-crust pizza. The firm, buttery crust stays crisp and holds plenty of toppings; try coq au vin or barbecue chicken specialty pies, or create your own from a list of standard toppings.
