In Short
There's a lot going on in this tiny River North hang. In keeping with the neighborhood, Blue 13 exploits its loft setting with exposed brick and timber columns. Somewhat less familiar are the faux reptile-skin banquettes and flickering bar-top skulls, which create a rocker-chic vibe. In contrast to the tattoo art hanging on the walls, the kitchen strikes a serious note with contemporary takes on familiar dishes. Lobster-topped pizza, classic carpaccio, burger and duck preparations are intended as early or late-night options for a crowd that doesn't mind eating to a rock music backdrop.
