You may not know some of the rock-influenced indie pop bands at Schubas, but a year from now they might be the next big thing. A lot of young Midwestern acts on low-budget tours take the stage during the week, but weekends belong to more established performers like Freedy Johnston, Robbie Fulks and John Wesley Harding. This corner neighborhood hangout buzzes with a casual crowd of alt-rock and folksy types. Since the club is divided into a main bar and a live entertainment area with a door separating the two, you're able to toggle between hanging with friends and dancing.
