not yo-mamma's oatmeal, that's for dawn sure! what's so different, you ask? well, for one thing, this ain't served in a bowl. it's served on a plate! that's right, a plate! does that do anything for ya? no? try this on for size. it's steel cut oatmeal cooked in apple cider and spices, then pan-seared & baked to perfection, garnished with dried fruit compote and drizzled with apple cider reduction. and it that's not enough, we've heard that it can actually give you super-human powers! (super-human power may vary based on individual maturity level). what do you think now?

The second location of this Wrigleyville favorite has the same whimsical fare: jelly-doughnut pancakes; fruit sushi; and basil pesto-flecked ''green eggs and ham.'' The space is roomier than the original, and the decor is quirky, with artificial orange trees and orange crate light fixtures. Local condo-dwellers pack the two rooms on weekends for breakfast, though lunch has appealing options too, including an aged-cheddar grilled cheese sandwich and the ''Snoop Dog'': a buffalo, bacon and chipotle sausage served on a demi-baguette.
