The Scene
Inside the Exchange, calzones, strombolis and pies emerge from stainless steel ovens that sit behind a huge glass and brick service island. Outside, a magnolia-shaded patio offers a cool setting. It's the perfect spot to linger with regrets over that last slice (dripping with mozzarella) that you didn't really need to eat.

The Food
The light but chewy crust is key to NYPE's 13 specialty pizzas. Throw a couple pounds of cheese, and the pies can't help but be tasty, though the sauce needs more garlic and oregano. A large Sicilian could feed half of Palermo. The Can't Beat the Meat Pizza, with five meats on a red or white sauce, is recommended. Try the pulled pork barbecue pizza for a change of pace or the Aphrodite for scads of fresh veggies. The spinach dip appetizer, drenched in a rich cheese sauce, is a meal by itself. Twenty-one subs, standard pasta dishes and wine by the glass or bottle are also available.
