The Scene
Soho's interior is downright sexy. A warm glow prevails in the two dining rooms thanks to dark woods, amber faux-finished walls and plenty of flickering candlelight. The low-key ambiance is enhanced by attractive contemporary art. Opt for a table overlooking the old-fashioned streetlights of Vinings Square and start with a glass of wine from the extensive list. Service is mature and assured.
The Food
Consider making a meal of appetizers, as some of the entrees are too ambitious. Don't miss tuna 2 Ways, a glorious pairing of silky, wasabi-seared medallions of ahi nestled on pickled ginger and a tower of pristine tuna tartare layered with avocado. General Joey's tender calamari are quick fried in a light tempura, scattered with diced peppers and glazed with a delicious ginger-soy sauce. A succulent duck entree is marred by soggy noodles and greens. Rich chocolate bread pudding redeems the evening.
