The amber-hued atmosphere in this intimate eatery is both attractive and comfortable. Terra-cotta-swabbed walls, artwork by local artists, exposed brick, open ceiling, refinished dark-wood floors and tables topped with crisp white linens provide a restrained backdrop for colorful food. Chef-owner Jason Hill's Southern-influenced menu, which changes seasonally, features the kind of dressed-up comfort food you wish your mama made. Scallops come atop a bed of pork belly and are sauced in a barbecue-like drizzle. Many entrees, such as grilled beef tenderloin with cheddar and braised greens macaroni are soul-soothing wonders.
