The Scene
Housed in one of the city's most stunning modern buildings, this soaring, curvy space is the epitome of theatrical Buckhead glitz. At lunch, power players wheel and deal in vivid, comfy chairs among brawny steel beams and slinky woods. The mood softens at night, when the provocative bar glows. Servers are polite and well intentioned. The menu tests the limits of East-West creations. Dishes like the melt-in-your-mouth Kasu butterfish, glazed with miso and served with sesame cucumber salad prove the kitchen can pull off complex ideas that are also startlingly satisfying. Seafood--be it coconut curry lobster tail, pristine raw oysters or grouper crusted in peanuts--is the main draw here. Those wishing to eschew both fusion concoctions and seafood will be more than pleased with the tender, precisely grilled bone-in ribeye.
