Tasty old fashioned ribs, but the menu was temporarily limited. This is Georgia BBQ -- with sauce that's mustardy and tangy -- not too thick or sweet. I...read more

The Scene
Anderson's is a hard-to-find little barbecue joint, tucked between a produce stand and an antiques shed. Place your order through a little window in a plywood wall plastered with dozens of menu options, then wait at one of three rickety tables crowded around an oil coil heater
for your order to be called.
The Food
Heaping mounds of pulled pork make it worth the effort of finding the place. Saturate the tender meat with homemade barbecue sauce and sop up the the rest with soft white bread. Be wary of the chicken during slow times, though; it can get dried out. Fresh vegetable side dishes are a real treat--be sure to try the field peas and collard greens. Sweet potato souffle is light and sweet enough to be your dessert.
