The Scene
Located in the heart of the Highlands, this popular restaurant draws heavily from the local crowd of good-looking 20-somethings. Inside the large, simply decorated dining room, long and closely spaced tables create a noisy conviviality that's ideal for first or second dates, or get-togethers with friends. Service is fast-moving, but sometimes lacks personality.
The Food
The fact that this mainstream Thai restaurant is always busy testifies more to its consistency and reasonable prices than to its authenticity or imagination. Favorites like Panang chicken or Pad-See-U are worth trying, as is the chicken coconut soup or a special of marinated cucumber and chilis in small, crisp tasty baskets. Spicy fresh Nua Nam Tok (grilled sirloin with lime, chili and onions) is especially good.
