The Scene
Cacti and tile mosaic wall hangings decorate this quintessential Mexican restaurant. Spinning fans, a blue ceiling, and Mexican music add authenticity to the informal atmosphere. Adjacent to the main dining room sits a designated smoking section with a good-sized bar. When temperatures rise, the large patio is nice for ordering pitchers of their famous margaritas.

The Food
There's little unexpected about the traditional Cuban-influenced Mexican menu of tacos, burritos, taco salads and run-of-the-mill fajitas. The Texas Margarita is exceptional, though. Made with triple sec, Gran Marnier, orange juice and premier tequila, it goes down easy and leaves you hurting in the morning. Play it safe and order your drinks with nachos and spicy queso dip or delectable, fresh guacamole. Combination dishes pair burritos with tacos or chalupas and come with rice, beans and loads of cheese. For a light dessert, try the plantains, which are fried and not too sweet.
