In Short
The hubbub of the cavernous dining room can be overwhelming at first. Bulbous red lanterns and flickering wall sconces cast a spell, as well as a mesmerizing mural of a girl amid exotic animals done by Todd Murphy. A 14-foot-tall wood-pit rotisserie tower heats up the scene. But the real show-stopper is the stunning view of the Midtown skyline. Service can be hit-or-miss, but there are plenty of distractions, like live blues. The central open kitchen, where Chef Cameron Thompson holds court, draws attention to the culinary action. Jump-start your meal with addictive salmon chips or the interesting lamb lollipops. Meat lovers have plenty to cheer about with the melt-in-your-mouth braised pork entree, served with gooey NY mac and cheese is an instant winner. For a grand finale, sample the cute cupcakes and ice cream, or pumpkin bread pudding.
