The Scene
Stroll through a modern courtyard and step into a minimalist rendering of a chic urban eatery. Stark white walls greet guests, and sleek hardwoods lead to dining rooms, an open kitchen, and bar-lounge. The east room, with a wall of reflecting silver domes, overlooks the main piazza. The west wing features a long wall of thin neon lights and square opaque tables. Sophisticated diners, often sporting red museum stickers, fill the space and fleet-footed servers dart from the kitchen.
The Food
The brasserie's menu changes daily and wins favor for its stylish presentation. Mainstays like the chargrilled hangar steak served with crispy frites are a good bet. The market fish varies but is usually a whole roasted whitefish over a bed of fennel and chickpea fries. Subtle flavors emphasize freshness such as the lightly seasoned poached halibut served atop a bed of plump Christmas beans.
