In Short
Done up in red and black, this urban hot spot is anything but a neighborhood pizza joint. A pair of brick beehive ovens center the small, edgy dining room. A hip bar sits on the right as you walk in, and a modest patio, bordered by amphoras and potted plants, is open in good weather. Service is extremely professional and friendly. Authentic flavors, simply presented, are at the heart of this European-style pizzeria. Crispy, perfectly tender calamari arrive on a square of brown craft paper. Crunchy-soft croquettes are spiked with sausage. Pizzas, which are small enough for one person, are like oversized hors d'oeuvres; if you're with a group, cut them up and trade them around. Be on the lookout for a pie with prosciutto and arugula, the Speck e Rucola pizza. Housemade gelato is the best bet for dessert.
