The Scene
This longtime Juniper Street standard is known for its block-long patio and monstrously popular Sunday brunch. Inside the two 1920s bungalows, black lacquer and blond wood cleverly mix with a chalkboard equation mock-up and candelabra done up as an atomic model. A consistent draw with the Midtown gay crowd, it's also a Sunday morning destination for crowds of morning-after clubgoers.

The Food
You don't have to be an Einstein to realize that this is a bar in restaurant guise, so order accordingly. Burgers, sandwiches and bar snacks--plus weekend brunch items--are a much better bet than the more serious entrees. Artichoke dip and chipotle-laced calamari are solid starters, and the Einstein's Grill, a variation on a Monte Cristo featuring turkey, bacon and egg-battered sourdough, is a knockout. Be sure to try the killer bloody mary--perfect before or after a day in Piedmont Park.
