The Scene
The front dining room of this sibling to Ray's on the River has huge plate-glass windows that provide a cool sunken view of Peachtree Street. The back room features a tank of crustaceans, a sushi bar and a glittery bar with hanging plasma TVs. Conventions and tourism are the restaurant's bread and butter, but the reasonably priced fare and exuberant service brings a few locals into the mix.
The Food
The menu, which changes daily, lives up its fresh seafood billing. The waitstaff states that fish is delivered five times a day--guaranteed never out of the water for more than 48 hours. The broiled seafood platter features buttery lobster tail and Atlantic salmon. Selections from the raw bar change daily and showcase oysters and clams from disparate coasts. Sushi standards are just as fresh and a lightly seared tuna tataki is reason enough to make that trip downtown.
