The Scene
This Peachtree Road restaurant, located in the basement of a row of easy-to-miss town homes, maintains its best-kept-secret status in spite of being extremely popular. It features side-by-side banquette seating, a tiny bar, and a knowledgeable staff. The clientele is a mix of old-money Buckhead regulars and business diners.
The Food
This old-school Italian restaurant features classic dishes with solid flavors. An artichoke salad proves the perfect foil for a delicious dish of mussels with fennel, white wine and cream. House specialty quail stuffed with Italian sausage plays comfort-food flavors against a luxurious red wine sauce, and handmade prosciutto-stuffed tortellini are everything fresh pasta should be. For dessert, Tartuffo--ice cream flavored with champagne and almonds, and covered in a chocolate shell--is a pleasant finish to a night of rich flavors.
