The Scene
Arts and crafts twinkle on light yellow walls at this Emory-area institution where friendly servers efficiently accommodate patrons dining beneath exposed brick arches. Traditional guitar and keyboard-accompanied ballads entertain larger crowds on Friday and Saturday nights.

The Food
Poblano chiles relleno (when in season) and hearty chicken mole are a couple of the best dishes on this Mexican menu. Salsa is typically mild; the guacamole could use a dash more of seasoning. Jalapeno pinto bean soup has a smoky fullness from bacon, but little bite. Vegetarian Georgia burrito and enchilada lunch specials bulge with vegetables, while Veracruz red snapper gets lost under a heap of jalapenos, olives, capers and onions. For dessert, the caramel-drizzled flan is a sleekly molded indulgence.
