The Scene
Found in the heart of the hipster haven that is East Atlanta, this inviting little bar lacks the catty scene of its neighbors. As a result, it attracts an older crowd, making it more neighborhood pub than pick-up joint. Local art, warm colors, a friendly staff and a well-stocked jukebox invite the diverse crowd to sample a decent selection of beer, with up to 10 draught selections, and a diverse bar-food menu.

The Draw
The crowd comes for a casual drink but doesn't mind staying for the food. In addition to bar-food standards like burgers and wings, try appetizers like the simple but tasty spinach and feta dip served with pita points or the bar's homemade hummus. Avoid the inspired but ultimately disappointing ''ultimate dip,'' a concoction of veggie chili, black beans, cheddar, onions and peppers. The burgers are above average, but can't compete with the neighboring burger at The Earl.
