Solid, simple, good. Grant Central doesn't try to get too gourmet or fancy with the pies or the prices. It's like a low-key coffeeshop, only with pizza! The...read more

In Short
Grant Central Pizza's second location in East Atlanta is exactly what you would expect from a low-lit pizza den in one of Atlanta's coolest, dingy-hip hoods. It's the kind of place you can take your kid brother, yet your hip older cousin will be equally impressed. Concert posters for upcoming shows at the EARL and Variety are pinned up by the bathrooms, and in time-warp-fashion, a few 1980's arcade games let you test your mad skills. Sticking to their appropriately-classic guns, the pizza is no-frills, NY-style--dished by the slice or the pie. Greek salads come in hefty portions for bottom dollar, and unlike the hit-and-miss quality of the pizza, calzones are crispy and consistent. For the crowd, look for a mixed bag ranging from neighborhood types to scruffy cool-kids.
