Where It's At
Not far from downtown Tampa, Miguel's packs in a big crowd during lunch. Arrive early before the rush or be prepared to wait.
The Dish
Miguel's menu resembles most other Mexican eateries with chile con queso, nachos, fajitas, tamales, enchiladas, tacos and burritos. However, Miguel's fresh cuisine, served in generous portions, is well beyond adequate.
Try the chicken or beef flautas--corn tortillas filled with meat, fried and served with guacamole and sour cream--a bit like Mexican eggrolls. The spinach and cheese enchiladas are also a good choice and make for a lighter meal. Looking for fajitas to go along with your date? Visit Miguel's on a Tuesday night and get more punch for your peso with special fajitas for two and a pitcher of homemade sangria, all for under $20.
