The Scene
Located in the marbled former home of Ybor City Bank, Bernini's is high-end in every way, from the prices to the food. Be prepared for the sometimes snooty, albeit pampering, service. Give the food a taste and you'll more than likely forget the holier-than-thou attitude of the waiter.
The Food
Start with the crispy, fried calamari, scented with lemon pepper and served with three different sauces. Then try the Mandarin orange glazed duck, roasted to perfection and swimming in a sun-dried pineapple sauce. Or try the excellent pasta dishes and stone oven-cooked pizzas. Save room for the desserts waiting in the wings--cannoli, lemon sorbet and banana creme brulee.
