The Scene
The Castaway has more going for it than scenery. The interior is comfortable and quiet, and if you're lucky enough to get a window seat, you can spot seabirds playing in the glossy water, waves rolling in, boaters and the slow vault of the Howard Franklin Bridge as it cuts across the Bay's midsection. Its kitchen produces a fine assortment of dishes, from seafood to Cajun dishes. On Sundays, the restaurant stages brunch--inevitably packed on holidays, especially Mother's Day, so make reservations.
