The Scene
The restaurant is instantly recognizable by the movie-marquee-style sign announcing its name in bright lights. The place sits atop a thin spit of land called Rocky Point, though it's hard to imagine anywhere in Florida is actually ''rocky.'' Sit on the patio, which faces east across Tampa Bay and overlooks a green hedge of wild mangrove and native vegetation. You'll see redwing blackbirds, gorgeous pink spoonbills, mockingbirds, seagulls, pelicans and grackles.
The Food
Typical seafood menu with all types of fish, pastas, salads and even fowl and steaks for landlubbers. Order up a salad, which the waiter tosses at the table with dressing--nothing fancy, but reasonably good. Make your way to two solid entrees: a huge Caesar salad and nearly two pounds of Alaskan snow crab. The bananas foster is excellent: a huge plateful of ice cream, whipped cream and bananas.
