The Scene
A seaborne breeze inevitably rakes the bar's big deck atop St. Pete's Pier; it sprawls invitingly open to sun or moon, air and wind. During the daytime, the railing of the Pier, which juts into the bay, is innocently blue; you'll find families with kids up there, taking in the view and sipping drinks. At night, the bay becomes a heavy black shroud, and the Cha Cha's guests are treated to its inky mystery. Every night, a live band entertains a wonderfully varied crowd, everything from bikers in leather to black-tie.
The Food
Everything from Bahamian conch fritters to full-dress baby back ribs with all the trimmings (the Cha Cha is owned by The Columbia Restaurant). Fancy drinks are its specialty, and any one of them will be terrific.
What to Order
The Rum-Runner-Rum, blackberry brandy and banana liqueur.
