A little far north for us, but it fills our need for a good Irish Pub. Mussels and brie platter hit the spot after shopping in the big city. Watched the end...read more

The Scene
If you could see past your nose in this dim, forest-green and wood-paneled pub, you'd notice burly suspender-wearing types lounging at the bar and cigar-smoking execs dining in the supper rooms. No fruity drinks or mojitos here: This is a popular scene for the portly, hard-drinking, Guinness-moustached crowd.
The Food
The traditional sausage-and-potatoes dish is typical of the Irish fare served, which also includes potato soup, corned beef and cabbage, Irish lamb stew, fish-and-chips, pan-seared calf's liver, and shepherd's pie. Seafood dishes like fresh dolphin sandwiches and grilled salmon with a dill cream sauce round out the menu. Order Harp, Bass and Guinness on tap.
