The Scene
The huge barreled entrance tips you off that there's something different about this place. A family restaurant in the best sense of the term, owner Dominic oversees all aspects of the joint--from the extensive wine list and newly-added menu items to the cozy, dim décor.
The Food
The parade of rich, flavorful dishes woos patrons back again and again. Start off with a bottle of the red stuff from the impressive wine list--perhaps a perfectly aged merlot or cabernet. Next, move onto the Veal Pizzaiola, an excellent cut of meat smothered in a spicy tomato sauce and then baked with fresh mozzarella. Or, opt for the Cernia Piccata, a fresh grouper filet sauteed with capers, lemon and a light white wine. The hearty meal comes complete with a basket of crusty bread. Do your best to leave room for their delicious homemade desserts.
