The Scene
A neo-classical exterior encloses a collection of interior spaces filled with chandeliers, museum-quality art and Austrian crystal statues. Servers are extremely professional, answering even the most basic questions without a trace of condescension.
The Food
Allow the staff to suggest wine pairings at the start of your meal. Begin with blinis la busse, a choice of Icelandic, Russian or Beluga caviar flamed tableside and served with chopped egg, onion and sour cream. Continental standards such as beef Wellington anchor a menu filled with veals, lambs and hearty steaks. The near-perfect Florida red snapper is wrapped in puffy pastry and topped with chunks of crab in a creamy mousseline sauce. The crepe Suzette, a thin golden pastry, offers a divine ending.
