The Scene
UConn law students and City Hall types are known to strike up lively debates at the dark-wood bar or in one of the high-backed, cushy booths. In warmer weather, patrons relax with a Guinness on the expansive outdoor patio.
The Draw
The pub showcases the best selection of beers in town, with 16 rotating European drafts and more than 100 bottled imports. The place gets packed on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, when live Celtic rock and traditional Irish musicians are the main attraction. The crowd is a bit older on weekend days as droves turn out to enjoy the authentic Irish breakfast and brunch items, like shepherd's pie, Irish stew, and corned beef and cabbage.
