The inside was clean, albeit a little dim for my liking. The lunch rush had probably come and gone by that point, so we took a seat at the bar. Our female...read more

The Scene
Two rectangular rooms make up this casual eatery--one inside and one cozy, glass-enclosed patio decorated with twinkling white holiday lights. Less than 20 tables create the dining space for couples and families, while a lengthy sushi bar lined with pale wood and chrome chairs creates a comfortable option for singletons.
The Food
It's hard to believe that fish in Denver can be so fresh. The menu here is typical, offering a healthy selection of standards ranging from miso soup to combo specials to noodle bowls. But most people come for the sushi. Rolls are weighty and abundant, but the Alaskan (smoked salmon, crab and avocado) and the Las Vegas (apple, tuna, salmon, cucumber, masago) are especially good. Shrimp tempura is lightly battered and pleasing. Unagi has a tendency to be a tad bit too fishy. Dinner is followed by an orange, carefully cut and arranged to look like a teddy bear.
