There's no need to fly to Rome for porcini risotto and osso buco, but the airport's nearby if the mood strikes. This Burlingame restaurant's Italian fare--focusing more on simply prepared dishes than the heavy carb-loaded plates of marinara and mozzarella found at most Italian-inspired eateries--may leave you feeling like a gelato near Trevi Fountain is the only suitable ending to the meal. The bright dining space bathed in warm tones and soft music is in direct juxtaposition to the location; Caltrain's tracks lie only a few feet from the side wall and the train comes screaming through every 20 minutes or so.
