A menu-bearing hostess invites Third Street Promenade shoppers to have a seat at one of the many sidewalk tables at this bustling Chinese restaurant and sushi bar. Beyond the glass doors is the spacious main dining room where families order dishes like kung pao chicken, lo mein and mushu among vaulted ceilings and colorful walls. Beyond the narrow kitchen hall is a smaller room and the sushi bar, which is the only spot where sushi can be had at half-price.
Hits: The location--smack dab in the center of Third Street Promenade-can't be beat.
Misses: Because of heavy foot traffic, service can be slow.
