The Food
The menu at all three Su Hong locations (dine-in at Menlo Park and Palo Alto, and a takeout-only spot in Menlo) includes a lot of classics that date all the way back to their launch in 1977. It's strictly old guard, with orange peel beef that won't bite you in the bum, cashew chicken chockablock with celery cubes, water chestnut nuggets and whole toasted cashews, and pot stickers that are worth a long chopstick chase. The Chinese chicken salad has reached legendary status throughout Silicon Valley.

The Scene
Su Hong is a lovable anachronism, prized for its predictable food served in an unfussy dining room where no one worries about what to wear. Families, casual business get-togethers—everyone leaves with fortune cookie on their breath and a smile on their face.
