There's not a lot that distinguishes this simple, comfortable Thai restaurant on that busy stretch of Polk Street from dozens of other simple, comfortable Thai restaurants around the city, but that's kind of the point. It's a neighborhood sort of place suitable for stopping by after a happy hour at one of the nearby bars or calling up on a rainy weekday evening when you want pumpkin curry without getting out of your slippers. And it clearly doesn't need to be fancy because it's regularly packed as it is--locals come for the curries (make sure to ask for it spicy if you don't mind the heat), stir-fried noodles and selection of uncommon dishes like clay pots and bacon-wrapped prawns.
