In Short
Part of the Pacific chain of restaurants that includes Hula Grill Waikiki and Duke's Malibu, Jake's is set right on Del Mar's shore. The restaurant has valet parking and fine cuisine, but the atmosphere stays California casual with a lively bar and afternoon happy hours. Dinner favorites include lamb, strip steak and roasted lobster tails. Finish with the hula pie--a decadent mess of macadamia nut ice cream, fudge, and whipped cream on a cookie crust.
