The Scene
Currently sporting leopard-print carpeting, dark wood and brass trim, Dawson's is a restaurant in transition, with more booths, privacy partitions and other aesthetic alterations planned for the future. When dining here, it's easy to forget that the bright lights and busy traffic of a hotel lobby are just a few steps away.
The Food
The macaroni and cheese with white cheddar, Sonoma goat cheese, roasted tomato and crispy onion crust is comfort food with a gourmet twist. Bistro sandwiches such as pepper-seared flank steak with lemon spinach and horseradish aioli are served open-faced on ciabatta. Salads like a grilled swordfish with dried cranberries and brown sugar pecans and a Southwest cobb are served at lunch, along with heartier entrees. Dinner may feature crispy skin duckling breast, braised veal with risotto, or a juicy hunk of prime rib.
