The Scene
This little restaurant rocks during the week, when it's heavily patronized by downtown businesspeople looking for a little south-of-the-border relief from their dreary office environments. Weekends are a better time to enjoy its Tex-Mex charms.

The Food
The chicken quesedilla tends to have a funky texture, so stick with the steak. Entrees fall somewhere between the traditional Mexican food we grew up with and the yuppie, California-Mex stuff we gravitate toward now. Any of the burritos will fill you up for only a few pesos. But beware the veggie burrito which is basically a huge slab of cheese wrapped in rice, beans and tortilla. Garlic scampi shrimp and the Zapata, a humongous burrito stuffed with whole beans, rice, meat, guacamole, pico de gallo, and cheese is topped with mole sauce and melted cheese.
