The Scene
Tucked inconspicuously into the backside of a shopping center, The Greek Village Inn feels like a family operation albeit with professional presentation and excellent preparation. A small patio is available for outdoor dining. A popular take-out choice with people in the neighborhood.
The Food
All of the traditional favorites are here--souvlakia, mousaka, spanakopita-plus traditionally prepared daily specials like leg of lamb and ahi tuna steak. A selection of Greek and American wine can be ordered by the bottle or glass.
What to Order
The extensive appetizer menu is ideal for the avid grazer. Try the dip sampler with taramosalata (pureed caviar and onions), melitzanosalata (roasted eggplant and garlic), and tzatziki (yogurt and cucumber dip with garlic and dill) served with warm pita bread. Avgolemono soup, a Greek standard, is delicious.
