The Scene
The decorating scheme of this homely and homey burger pit is ''turn-of-the-century garage.'' Frying pans and fishing trophies bear down from the ceiling, and gag signs about roadkill greet you from all directions. The Squeeze Inn is cramped, slightly dilapidated and hard to spot from the street, but that hasn't stopped it from acquiring a crowd of curmudgeonly regulars. The guff from the cooks and serving staff, meanwhile, comes in all forms of old-school sassy.
The Food
It's not just the retro charm that keeps regulars coming back--the Squeezeburgers are bigger than your fist and must weigh at least a pound, while the fries come in enormous, greasy-yet-crisp mounds. The steak sandwich looks suspiciously burger-like, but with grilled onions, handfuls of cheese and juicy beef patties, who can complain?
